Beth Derech School of Discipleship: Proud Member of the CLSA

Beth Derech School of Discipleship in Woodland, Michigan, is delighted to announce its Classical Latin School Association (CLSA) membership. This critical step reflects our commitment to providing a Christ-centered education shaped by the classical liberal arts tradition, in harmony with our mission to nurture students through a transformative, discipleship-based approach modeled after Jesus’ own teaching.

At Beth Derech, we believe education goes beyond academics—it is about guiding students into a deeper walk with Christ through mentorship, example, and meaningful conversation. Following the pattern of Jesus’ discipleship, our approach emphasizes relational learning, experiential growth, and spiritual formation. By cultivating strong teacher-student relationships, we aim not only to encourage academic excellence but also to form character, strengthen faith, and inspire compassion—equipping students to live faithfully and wisely in the world.

As a member of the CLSA, Beth Derech is committed to upholding the high standards of classical Christian education and discipleship. We are working toward CLSA accreditation, which involves careful self-study and onsite evaluations to ensure our school reflects Christ-centered, classical learning principles and practices. This process, which generally spans two years for the provisional accreditation and the final approval in the third year, demonstrates our dedication to ongoing growth and excellence as we prepare students to think clearly, engage meaningfully, and serve faithfully.

Through our partnership with the CLSA, Beth Derech gains access to valuable resources, professional development, and a supportive school network that shares our vision. This collaboration strengthens our ability to provide an education that unites faith and learning, empowering students to grow as disciples of Christ. We are grateful for this new chapter and eager to see how God will use our CLSA membership to advance our mission of raising up students who embody the wisdom, virtue, and love of Jesus
