ERBCTP-5 TEST

The ERB-CTP® 5 is a test for high-achieving students and is given at private and public schools nationwide. It is used to collect basic information about student achievement and ability in the areas of the English language (reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills) and mathematics. Students in Grades 1 through 11 take the CTP 5 (Comprehensive Testing Program) assessment.

The Comprehensive Testing Program (CTP) is a rigorous assessment for high achieving students that is administered by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB). Commonly referred to as the ERB-CTP, this test is used across the United States, and is particularly popular in private and select public schools, as well as in independent schools internationally.

Educational Concert Series (ECS)

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra's Educational Concert Series (ECS) has introduced students to classical music for more than 80 years. Each 45-minute ECS performance is thematically designed to explore topics like science, history, and art through orchestral music. ECS performances take place in historic Orchestra Hall and are webcast for free via the Live from Orchestra Hall: Classroom Edition series.

New Testament Manuscript Collection Tour

The University of Michigan Library holds an extensive collection of Greek manuscripts consisting of 110 codices (bound manuscripts) and fragments that range from the fourth to the nineteenth centuries CE. It is the largest such collection in the Western Hemisphere. As explained in the section, The Provenance of the Collection, most of these manuscripts were purchased through the efforts of Professor Francis Willey Kelsey in the second decade of the previous century.

National Greek Exam

The National Greek Examination in 2024 enrolled 1468 students from 144 high schools, colleges, and universities in the US and around the world. Of these students, 51% earned purple, blue, red, or green ribbons. The battery of six examinations consisted of four Attic Greek exams (Introduction, Beginning, Intermediate, Prose) and two Homeric Greek exams (Odyssey and Iliad).

In 2025, high-school seniors who earn purple or blue ribbons in the Attic Prose exam will be eligible to apply for one scholarship in the amount of $2,000, renewable for four years.

DIA field trips provide students with lessons on history and culture that connect with learning outcomes. Field trips are designed for Pre K – 12 classroom or homeschool groups, summer and recreational camps, and community organizations and are free for schools within Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
